Raging Stallion and NakedSword-AEBN Announce Co-Production Deal

Military Film Trilogy to Feature Heavy VOD branding
and Exclusive Supporting Content

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios and adult video-on-demand powerhouse NakedSword-AEBN today announced a major joint production venture to be shot this summer at an undisclosed location in Northern California. Entitled GRUNTS, the project is the most ambitious production undertaken in gay porn in recent years. Grunts is envisioned as an "army movie to end all army movies" and has an estimated budget of about $175,000 ($105,000 in model fees alone). Almost every hot star in the industry is cast in the two-week long shoot. Grunts will be released as three two-disc sets in January, March, and May of 2008.

Raging Stallion has pulled out all the stops for this film, renting real Army Jeeps and complete, authentic military costumes for the 20-plus cast members. An entire portable field army base was purchased for this shoot and numerous props were rented from Hollywood prop houses (including howitzer guns, machine guns, and two truck loads of generic military equipment).

"Grunts is the movie I have been waiting to make," said Director Chris Ward. "Our rapidly expanding DVD sales have allowed us to really step up high-end production. Many studios are abandoning the 'big movie' format, but we are hopeful to keep on making the kind of blockbuster epics that have made us the top-selling studio in the country." Grunts is Ward's 125th film and will be a crown jewel in his 10-year long directing career. Ward recently received the GayVN Hall of Fame Award and his film Arabesque was the top selling picture in gay erotica in 2006.

“NakedSword is growing rapidly in scope and as a brand, and the Grunts project is one of our first steps in that direction,” said Michael Stabile, Director of Marketing for NakedSword. “Raging Stallion offered us an unprecedented branding opportunity and is allowing us to work closely with them to produce the behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews and special features that have given NakedSword a competitive edge among porn consumers.” NakedSword has worked with Raging Stallion before as a bonus-content provider for the studio’s Arabesque (2005) and Lords of the Jungle (2006).

NakedSword will receive co-production credits, a prominent front-of-box logo, point-of-sale promotional opportunities and branding across all ads and promotions. In addition, NakedSword will be the primary brand on each of the bonus DVDs. Stabile acknowledged that several other similar deals, with multiple studios and at various stage of development, are in the works.

Michael Brandon, producer and casting director, has pulled together a wonderful mix of RSS exclusive talent and new discoveries to form an Army of Men that will conquer the hearts and minds of the gay world! The cast was carefully chosen to include as many army vets as possible--seven men in the movie served in Iraq and will be interviewed as part of an extended set of special features that are expected to run several hours.
