Cal-OSHA begins Porn Set Inspections
X-Biz magazine reported today that Cal-OSHA, the state agency responsible for work place safety, began inspections of porn sets to insure that actors were not being asked to participate in unsafe sex acts or other activities that might be considered dangerous. The studio inspected, Naughty America, is a large straight company. Considerable debate has raged on the gay side of the industry as more companies are moving towards filming bareback sex, a clear violation of Cal-OSHA regulations. Companies can be fined as much as $1000 per day per employee for violations, and in worse case situations companies can be shut down. My own advice to my fellow porn studios is to play it safe in every sense of the word!

Fantastic! There is NO excuse to not play/film safely in this day and age. The information has been out there for years and safe sex practices should be considered par for the course.
Where I work, our company is liable for our safety and makes sure we are always properly equipped. Sexually-oriented businesses should be the same. That's why I actively boycott studios who fail to ensure the health of their models. Kudos to Raging Stallion for doing and promoting the right thing.
