Steve Cruz Signs to Exclusive RSS Contract

San Francisco porn powerhouse Raging Stallion Studios today announced that Steve Cruz has been signed to a long-term exclusive contract to perform in numerous films for the studio. Steve made his porn debut in Raging Stallion's Lords of the Jungle and co-stars with RSS Man of the Year Jake Deckard in the upcoming blockbuster Mirage, director Chris Ward's long anticipated follow-up to 2006's top-selling title, Arabesque. Steve, who compares to the legendary Tag Adams in his performance style, has quickly risen to become a top performer over the past six months, having been featured on the covers of Unzipped Magazine, Dakine, The Guide, and QX Magazine, and he was a recent centerfold in Honcho. Grabby Award Nominations Announced

Hey Guys! This week saw the announcement of the 2007 Grabby Award nominations. The Grabbys are held each year in Chicago during the IML festivities over Memorial Day Weekend. They are the last award show of the season and the most popular. The Grabbys have a long history, having been started by "Big Daddy Ferguson," the publishing pioneer who ran Gay Chicago Magazine for many, many years. Indeed, Big Daddy (who died last year) was one of gay erotica's stars--he did more for our community and the gay porn industry than anyone bar none. He will be missed at this year's show, but his memory will long linger in our hearts.

The Grabbys, much more than some of the other award shows, really seem to be in synch with fans--prestigious movies that many reviewers love but that fans hate are often ignored at the Grabbys. The good people at the Grabbys know that these are sex films, and awards are given on that basis. This is why I personally love the Grabbys. They represent an honest assessment of what constitutes great porn! And there is something to be said about having a non-California award show--our living in San Francisco really does not always give us the "normal" national perspective! BREAKING NEWS: 2007 Grabby Noms Revealed

12 noms go to Falcon's THE VELVET MAFIA 1-2; Trevor Knight snags a leading 7 nominations

CHICAGO -- The 2007 Grabby Award nominations have been announced. Leading all films is THE VELVET MAFIA 1-2 (Falcon Studios) with 12 nominations. Hot House Video tops all studios with 21 total citations. Performer Trevor Knight is far ahead of the pack with 7 individual nominations.

Just behind VELVET MAFIA's 12 nods is JUSTICE (Hot House Video) with 11 nominations. Earning seven nods was DELINQUENTS (All Worlds Video). Five citations apiece went to BIG RIG (Buckshot Productions), BLACK-N-BLUE (Hot House Video) and 2ND INNING: LITTLE BIG LEAGUE 2 (Electro Video).

Following the leading 21 nominations for Hot House Video is Falcon Studios with 16 citations. Next up is Buckshot Productions (14 noms), Raging Stallion Studios (13), All Worlds Video (11) and Titan Media (8). Electro Video and Rascal Video, both under the Channel 1 Releasing umbrella, earned 5 noms apiece.

Trevor Knight leads all individuals with 7 nods. Three performers earned 5 nominations each: Matt Cole, Collin O'Neal and Francois Sagat. A six-pack of performers snagged 4 citations apiece: Benjamin Bradley, Johnny Hazzard, Roman Heart, Nick Piston, Jason Ridge and Shane Rollins.

Best Video nominees are: BIG RIG and BOOT BLACK BLUES (both Buckshot Productions), DELINQUENTS (All Worlds Video), JUSTICE (Hot House Video), MANIFESTO (Raging Stallion Studios) and THE VELVET MAFIA 1-2 (Falcon Studios).

The Grabby Awards are presented in association with "Gay Chicago Magazine." Winners will be announced Memorial Day Weekend, May 26, in Chicago. Mirage Coming Soon

Hey Guys--

I am heading home to celebrate the completion of my big movie for 2007--Mirage. Ben Leon and I today finished up the edit of this six-hour feature. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this is probably the best movie I have ever directed. It is a follow up (but not a sequel) to Arabesque and I think it is going to take the porn world by storm! Stars Jake Deckard and Steve Cruz really outdo themselves with so much excellent sex that I can hardly believe we filmed it all! Here in the office my staff has been coming by the editing machine for days to watch the finishing polish. We are all expecting this movie to be the top porn event of 2007, bar none!
