It has really been interesting hearing the stories of the military men--Brodie Sinclair told me about one time he went AWOL and ended up in a military prison in Kuwait. One of the untold stories of the war is the fact that our guys are so turned into fighting machines that they also turn on each other. Brodie was in jail with guys who had killed their fellow soldiers. They don't report that shit on CNN or FOX news. One of the special features on the DVD will be extensive interviews with our vets-turned-pornstars. There are eye-opening, hair-raising stories that will give you new, first-hand insight into what real war is all about. These men have a story to tell, and we are honored to be able to film this project.

Team Raging Stallion is still going strong, although after 11 days of shooting things are getting tough. It is hot and everyone is getting tired--everyone except the models! Last night saw a terrific three way with Max Schutler, Brodie Sinclair, and Luke Hass. The scene took place in the rec hall of an Army Base--built to look exactly like the rec halls in Iraq. Our team of military specialists put the final touches on the set to give it that special authentic look.

Brodie was in great form, hard as a rock and really getting into his co-star. Max Schutler was the bottom, and you better believe that these men looked great together. GRUNTS: As If Things Could Not Get Any Better!!!

Here a GRUNT, there a GRUNT, Everywhere a GRUNT! It is pretty cool being on a private compound full of hot men decked out in military attire! As each day passes, things get hotter and hotter! GRUNTS - Week 2

Week two began with a bang--the kind of explosive sex that you would expect from a military porn shoot! We all took the afternoon off (it was over 100 degrees outside, too uncomfortable to work). The GRUNTS shoot hit the one week mark and Team Raging Stallion began shooting the second of the series of Military epics. While the first movie was all about a military base and Boot Camp, the second film follows an eight-man team that heads out on Night Patrol. Finally, the third thing that kept me awake were my thoughts about Naked-Sword/AEBN. They are co-producers on this project, offering both encouragement and marketing support. Last night we shot until about midnight, a pairing between new comer RJ Danvers and big-dicked Justin Christopher. GRUNTS Behind the Scenes - Day 4 - Long Day at Camp Porno

Hey Guys--I think I just shot one of the best scenes Raging Stallion has ever filmed! It was a long day here at Camp Porno with crew hard at work at 6:30 AM. We finally finished shooting at 2:30 AM--a very long day, full of some of the hottest sex we have ever seen. Days like this are when I like my job the best !!!

We then had to light our set for the big group scene--six guys at night at a tent army base. As you can see from the photos, we hit a home run on set design! We started filming some bunk house ruff housing at 8:00 pm, just as the sun was going down. This quickly turned into a six-GRUNT blow job scene, which then segued into a series of fuck pairings. GRUNTS Behind the Scenes - Day 3 - The Action Begins

Day three of the GRUNTS shoot went very well--we were all very excited to start filming SEX!!!! It was a long day, so let's get started.

First up, we had Jake Deckard shooting a solo with Kamrun, a hot actor making his RSS debut. Kamrun was in the Air Force, so we also did an extensive behind the scenes interview with him about his military life as part of the solo. We are all pretty stoked about having so many real military veterans in our shoot, and we plan to release Jake's special feature as a real eye-opening look into the life of Gay men in today's military.

GRUNTS Behind the Scenes - Day 1

The first day of the GRUNTS shoot went very well, little drama but lots of hard work. The models are only now starting to come in. Roman Ragazzi just arrived looking better than ever, Ricky Sins--a new stud who is going to make you groan!--came in late last night, as did Kamrun. All three of these men served in the military, so it was pretty amazing when they all confirmed that our military base looked, felt, and even smelled like the real thing!

Most of our day was spent building the base--tents had to be set up, jeeps oiled, guns unloaded, flagpoles set into the ground, camo nets untangled, ammo crates unpacked, military cots set up, sand bags filled, foxholes dug, and a myriad other tough jobs. The heat pounded down from above (temp in the upper 90s). All of us couldn't help but think about how tough life must be for guys who are really in the army--never mind that they also work under the threat of roadside bombs and sniper attacks. And for what cause??? More on politics later....

One troubling event of the day was a huge dirt devil--a dry, sand-filled tornado--that took aim at our camp! Just like in the Wizard of Oz, the twister came straight towards us, menacing and pretty scary. It tore thru the camp, taking down two tents and throwing 25 lb ammunition cans all over the base. If anyone had been there they might have been seriously hurt. It was strange to see a "tornado" come out of a perfectly clear sky! Sadly, we did not catch it on film....

Raging Stallion Goes on the Road

Hey Guys--Chris Ward here. Its Tuesday in sunny San Francisco and we are all excited about the start of our big military adventure movie--GRUNTS! We leave tomorrow morning at 8 AM for what is scheduled to be a three-week shoot. The pre-production work on the shoot is now pretty much finished and now we move directly into principal photography.

As I walked around the studio where items are being staged to load up onto trucks, I am amazed at the size of this movie project. This is the biggest porn production in recent years, and it is going to take a 20-foot truck and six other smaller vehicles to get us and our equipment up to the location.

So what kind of items does one need to take along for an away shoot? Well, a partial list might include twenty C-Stands and high rollers, a large light kit consisting of fifteen 2,000 watt lights, six daylight balanced lights of various sizes, six 1,000 watt lights, two Kino Flow bank lights and fill lights. We also are taking 2,500 feet of high-voltage extension cords (that is almost half a mile of cable!). We have three new HD cameras and all the equipment that goes with them. One thing I like to do on away shoots is to have two film crews shooting different scenes in different places at the same time--which means we need lots of cameras.

In the prop department, we have additional trucks heading to Los Angeles to pick up jeeps, tents, guns, cannons, and an assortment of items from the Hollywood prop houses. We have an entire portable army base, including numerous tents (some of them are huge--36 feet long). We have 20 bunks, pool tables for the rec hall, a portable army kitchen that can feed our crew of 30 men as well as the many reporters and photographers that are coming thru to cover the shoot. We have wardrobe for 25 GRUNTS and sergeants, flags, banners, and benches. Twenty six stuffed duffle bags will give us something to fuck on, and ten 30 by 50 cammo nets will protect us from the blazing heat of the sun.

Logistics are a principal concern--just like in the army! We have to feed between 25 and 35 people each day, three times per day! that is over one thousand meals! We have three cooks on staff, and Costco is going to love us.

With over 20 models in the shoot, model fees are over $100,000, and air fairs for all these guys ran almost $20,000.

As you can see, the cost of this production is enormous, so these movies had better pay off. I am reminded of when Fox tried to shoot Cleopatra in the early 1960s--it nearly bankrupted the studio! I sure hope I am doing the right thing by betting on GRUNTS being the biggest blockbuster ever!

Military Film Trilogy to Feature Heavy VOD branding
and Exclusive Supporting Content

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios and adult video-on-demand powerhouse NakedSword-AEBN today announced a major joint production venture to be shot this summer at an undisclosed location in Northern California. Entitled GRUNTS, the project is the most ambitious production undertaken in gay porn in recent years. "Grunts is the movie I have been waiting to make," said Director Chris Ward. "Our rapidly expanding DVD sales have allowed us to really step up high-end production. Many studios are abandoning the 'big movie' format, but we are hopeful to keep on making the kind of blockbuster epics that have made us the top-selling studio in the country." Grunts is Ward's 125th film and will be a crown jewel in his 10-year long directing career. With sales breaking records every day, Mirage continues to build a head of steam fueled by strong word of mouth and an ambitious advertising campaign. In a remarkable development, Mirage is being sold across the entire industry in places quite unexpected--the two disc set can be purchased not only at Raging Stallion, but also at Hot House and Falcon. Pacific Sun and Marina Pacific also carry the blockbuster film.

Mirage has been in general release since June 1 and has had the strong support of TLA and GayDVD.com as principal retailers. Reviews of the film are now flooding in, all of which have stated that Jake Deckard and Steve Cruz have given award worthy performances. Mirage is also touted as the movie to beat at next year's award shows.

Loss of a Bright Star

Kent North killed himself on July 4th. A Hot House exclusive, Kent was one of the top stars in the industry, a power fisting superstar who, like Matthieu Paris, defined an era in fisting film history. This was a totally unexpected development and the guys at Hot House are pretty shaken up by it. I was never able to direct him in a film, but I admired his work from afar.

Please remember Kent in your thoughts from time to time. He was one of our own.
