Raging Stallion / Gunzblazing Purchase High Octane
San Francisco Porn Powerhouse Raging Stallion Studios and Gunzblazing.com today announced that they have purchased legendary European production company, High Octane. High Octane comes with a library of over fifty films and an ongoing production agreement that calls for 6 new releases each year. High Octane as a brand will continue under the Raging Stallion banner and the next movie in the series, Masters and Servants, will be released on June 13. High Octane director Herve Bodilis (AKA Herve Handsome) will continue as head of production, and former High Octane president Patrick Albret will stay on as head of European Operations. The incorporation of the 50 High Octane films into Raging Stallion's library grows the total collection by about 25% and adds another premium, all-original and exclusive paysite title to Gunzblazing.com. Albret commented that joining Raging Stallion and Gunzblazing is a move that will position High Octane well for the future. " We were in discussions with several other studios about merging operations, but Raging Stallion and Gunzblazing emerged as the best fit--they are probably the top business in the industry today and they have a strong commitment to continuing the High Octane brand. I still remember an email Chris Ward wrote me many years ago praising our movies! He understands High Octane and I am confident that the future is going to be very, very exciting!" Raging Stallion President Chris Ward engineered the acquisition as soon as they heard High Octane was available "I have always enjoyed High Octane films--indeed, they were some of my favorite films back when I was just starting Raging Stallion" says Ward. " High Octane is all about quality--quality men, quality film-making, and quality fucking! It is a natural fit for Raging Stallion. I look forward to continuing the brand and building it into the strongest line of European films in the market." "High Octane is a perfect fit for Gunzblazing" says Randall. "The models are hot, the production values high and it hasn't been distributed on the web to anywhere near its full potential - which is fantastic news for our affiliates. It further strengthens our customer value offering. There aren't many other networks that a gay surfer can join and have access to what will be seven, premium, original and exclusive content paysites covering multiple gay micro-niches." Ward also noted that Raging Stallion's purchase of High Octane gives the growing studio a beachhead in Europe. "Some of the other studios have been purchasing movies from European producers--this gives us a whole production team that is our own. We will be sending over our top exclusives to work in Europe. Indeed, European working vacations will become a standard part of our new model contracts. This also gives us the ability to sign some of the top European stars to exclusive contracts."
Noted Director Tony Dimarco Joins Raging Stallion Studios
Raging Stallion Studios today announced that superstar writer / director Tony Dimarco has accepted a full-time, high-level position as a staff director at the company's main office in San Francisco. Dimarco, winner of numerous awards, begins work at Raging Stallion effective immediately and his first projects will be filmed in the coming weeks. Dimarco will be relocating to the Bay Area and views this move as the beginning of a new chapter in his career. Dimarco joins Raging Stallion at a time when the studio is on a roll having recently won accolades for GRUNTS at all of the major awards shows. For the short time that Tony Dimarco has been in the business he has certainly has made his mark. Winning the coveted “Best Picture” category two years in a row at the GayVN awards he has proven to be one of the finest new filmmaker in the business. “La Dolce Vita,” the film he made for Lucas Entertainment, won an unprecedented 14 GayVN Awards at the 2007 event, 6 awards with his name on it. Born and raised in the tri-state area, Tony graduated from NY’s School of Visual Art with a BFA in Graphic Design, and then went on to have a successful career as an art director at a major record label for 13 years before venturing into adult films. This year he tried his hand a comedy with "The Intern" which receive critical acclaim and won the GayVN Award for Best Sex Comedy. He left Lucas Entertainment in August of 2007 to expand his talents and work with new people. “I very excited to join Raging Stallion Studios." Dimarco commented, "I’ve been a great admirer of their work for many years and am very excited about the prospect of working as one. They are at the top of their game and I’m at the top of mine; I think this is the beginning of an exceptional team. The quality of their filmmaking is top notch and I’m honored to be a part of the team." Raging Stallion President Chris Ward was equally enthusiastic. "Tony is a great guy and a very talented film maker. I was very excited when Tony became available--it is rather rare in our small industry when both a position and a person capable of filling it are concurrently open. The recent retirement of Michael Brandon left vacant a top-level job at a top tier studio--who better than Tony Dimarco to step in? We have huge plans ahead as we build upon our past successes. Right now Tony, Ben Leon, and I are developing a GRUNTS-scale cowboy movie that will be shot in New Mexico this summer. All I can say is everybody better watch out! With Tony joining , Ben Leon, JD Slater, David Hempling, Jake Deckard, and yours truly, we have the best directing team in the industry."
